Can we swim?  Local teens will sometimes take a break from fishing
and swim under the bridge on the river.  However,  the current is
strong so children should always be supervised.  You can swim off our
pontoon in Round Lake.  However, our own city kid nieces and cousins
like to swim at the national forest beach at Seelye Point (12 miles from
Riverhaven).  This sandy beach is roped off for swimming and is next
to a shady picnic area.  Directions are in the "Cabin Concierge"
notebook in each unit.
What is there to do?  Check out the Chippewa National Forest
What do we need to bring? Your condo is equipped with full linens,
including enough towels for the number of people in your party.  We
provide toilet paper and hotel size bath soap bars, dishwashing liquid,
and detergent for the dishwasher.  You will also find coffee filters in
the cabinet above the coffee maker (the Lodge has 2 coffee makers).
Do bring a phone card as toll free numbers are the only long distance
calls your phone allows.  If you are unfamiliar with summers "Up North"
believe us when we say you should bring a sweat shirt for cool
evenings/mornings.

web site for an enormous variety of outdoor activities.  You are
welcome on the Eagleview Elementary playground where kids from pre-
school through elementary will love the swings and jungle gyms.
There are basketball hoops and room for softball or soccer games.
The school is within easy walking distance of Riverhaven.  We have
pontoon and fishing boat rental available; land your own boat right
here or use our pedal boat.  If it's too windy to get out on the lakes you
won't have to miss out on fishing.  Cast your line off the dock.

In spring-fall we have a fire ring with free firewood on the riverside
lawn.  Each unit has a patio with charcoal grill and picnic table.  For
those rainy days we have cable TV and high speed Internet access
(bring your lap top).  Check out the links on the right for more area
options.
